Netflix is one of the world’s leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
The Globalization team, an organization within Content Platform, Operations, and Publishing (CPOP), is responsible for translation and cultural adaptation of most things Netflix creates, from beautiful user interfaces to discovery of cinematic original programming and Games. We treat each country we operate in differently, since it is not just about translation: it is about providing our audience with an experience that feels local — and we do it at scale.
We are looking for a Product Language Manager, Japanese who will sit at the intersection of linguistic craft, cultural expertise, product knowledge and AI innovation. You will ensure that our language experiences not only meet the highest standards of accuracy and cultural relevance but also scale through the adoption of advanced AI models and automation. This role requires both the rigor of a linguistic expert and the curiosity of a technologist: someone who can safeguard the craft while leading the transformation of how we build language at scale. This role is focused on Netflix’s members’ experience on our Product so a change mindset, ability to pivot and a willingness to lean into risk will be key to your success.
Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner. We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully.
