Amazon Fresh Japan Marketing Manager

Are you interested in joining Amazon's rapidly growing and strategically important online grocery business? The Amazon Japan Amazon Fresh team is seeking a Marketing Manager to drive our fast-growing online fresh food business.

Amazon Fresh is experiencing rapid growth in Japan as an online delivery service, and in this role, you will focus on merchandising strategy and marketing execution for Amazon Fresh. Key responsibilities include optimizing merchandising, planning and executing promotional campaigns, analyzing customer and sales data, and collaborating with vendor manager and In-Stock teams to improve Fresh store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Merchandising Strategy: Plan and optimize merchandising based on customer needs and business objectives
  • Promotion Planning and Execution: Develop and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, acquire new customers, and improve retention
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze customer data, sales data, and campaign effectiveness to drive continuous improvement
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Business Development, In-Stock, Product Management, Operations, PR, Legal, and other diverse teams
  • Global Collaboration: Share best practices and execute joint campaigns with Amazon Fresh International teams
  • Ideal Candidate Profile and Required Qualifications:

    • Strong Commitment to Results: Ability to set clear KPIs and achieve goals
    • Strategic Thinking and Execution: Capability to develop strategies from a high-level perspective while maintaining attention to detailed execution steps
    • Merchandising Acumen: Understanding of customer needs and ability to select appropriate products and plan promotions
    • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to develop strategies and optimize initiatives based on data analysis
    • Proactive Work Style: Self-starter who identifies challenges and proposes/implements solutions
    • Adaptability to Change: Ability to appropriately prioritize and respond in a fast-growing business environment
    • Communication Skills: Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • 5+ years' of experience in marketing or merchandising
    • Hands-on experience in product planning or promotional campaign planning
    • Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, BI tools, etc.)
    • Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English
    • Preferred Skills and Experience:

      • Experience in e-commerce or online grocery business
      • Experience collaborating with global teams
      • Vendor management experience
