Amazon's Devices & Services Design team has launched iconic products like Echo, Fire TV, and Alexa. We're seeking a Principal Motion Designer to define and own the motion vision for product storytelling across Devices & Services, bringing together hardware, software, and services into compelling, cinematic narratives that inspire and align at the highest levels.
In this role, you will lead motion design for strategic product storytelling, creating high-fidelity vision films, prototypes, and visual narratives that reveal the future of Amazon's most ambitious product experiences. Your work will clarify direction for executives, unify cross-functional teams, and bring complex ecosystems to life in ways that influence both product strategy and customer-facing launches.
You'll use advanced tools like Cinema 4D, Houdini, and AI-driven workflows to visualize what doesn't yet exist. You'll set the creative standard for how Devices & Services tells its product stories through motion, building scalable storytelling frameworks, mentoring senior talent, and ensuring every piece of motion content elevates both emotional impact and strategic clarity.
This is not a UX motion role and it's not traditional marketing. This is about defining how Amazon's Devices & Services Design team uses motion to shape the narrative of our products before they are built and to reveal them to the world when the time comes.
