Amazon Ads is one of the fastest-growing businesses at Amazon, generating tens of billions in revenue by helping brands of all sizes connect with hundreds of millions of customers worldwide. Within Sponsored Products & Brands, we are seeking a Principal Product Manager - Tech to own the strategic vision and execution for advertising monetization of Everyday Essentials (EE) categories—consumables, grocery, health & beauty, household supplies, and similar high-frequency replenishment categories—starting with Japan and extending to high-growth emerging marketplaces in Latin America and the Middle East. This is a single-threaded, zero-to-one charter. Everyday Essentials is one of the fastest-growing segments across Amazon's international marketplaces, yet advertising monetization has not kept pace—representing a significant untapped revenue opportunity. Shoppers and advertisers in these categories have fundamentally different needs and objectives than those in durable goods, and today's advertising products were not purpose-built for them. You will work backwards from those unmet needs to invent net-new advertising capabilities from the ground up. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle—from identifying the opportunity, writing the PR/FAQ, defining the CX, partnering with science and engineering to build, and scaling learnings across countries. You will directly own the P&L for this charter and be accountable for delivering step-function advertising revenue growth. This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, can define both the product opportunity and the technology strategy from scratch, and has the judgment to make high-stakes investment decisions across a portfolio of bets. We are a passionate team of builders who believe advertising, done right, enhances the customer experience. If you are energized by inventing at the intersection of advertising, machine learning, and international commerce—and want to own a business-defining initiative with executive visibility—this role is for you.
