Product Manager-Tech

Amazon Enterprise Security Products (AESP) is a team bringing security products to the market at scale. AESP architects and builds security tooling that is cloud agnostic, meeting our customers where their data is. As a Product Manager-Tech in AESP you will define the experience of customers and shape their security efforts through building the next generation of AI powered security tooling. If you have a bias for action, customer-obsession and delight in making clarity from ambiguity, this might be the role for you. This position will require a broad set of skills including, but not limited to product strategy, product design, working directly with external customers, deep-diving new technologies, and executive communication. You will work directly with builders and leadership across Amazon Security.

Key job responsibilities:

  • As a Principal PMT you work backwards from our customers to create a compelling security product vision and a product strategy to solve complex business problems.
  • You own the product roadmap and prioritize features to ensure your MVPs quickly add value for our customers.
  • You are responsible for managing the lifecycle of your products and work independently with engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders on defining, building, and delivering the right products.
  • Your product requirements are concise, with clear, measurable success criteria.
  • You are an effective negotiator, make smart trade-offs without sacrificing quality, and drive appropriate schedules.
  • You use data to influence our business strategy and technical priorities, and escalate when necessary, without damaging relationships.
  • You keep all your stakeholders up to date on your products, upcoming capabilities, and future plans.
  • You independently represent your products and the team, and are comfortable communicating with executives as well as with business and technical stakeholders.

A day in the life:

  • Dive deep with your customers to identify and understand their painpoints.
  • Think big to build durable products that anticipate future painpoints.
  • Use your technical judgment and understanding to test assumptions.
  • Write press releases that clearly state the business case and imagine what our customers will say when they are excited when they are using your products.
  • Deliver products on time with the right feature set and high quality.
  • Think through all aspects of your products' life cycles, incl. business, technical, legal, and marketing.
  • Help others grow professionally.
