The Placement team within the Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) organization owns automated decision-making systems that power Amazon's global operations. We create intelligent algorithms that learn and adapt in real-time, making optimal choices across complex operational scenarios. Our systems process millions of critical decisions daily, bringing Amazon's inventory closer to customers. We have built our products entirely in-house, fostering innovative, game-changing ideas in reinforcement learning and large-scale optimization technology.
We are looking for an innovative and entrepreneurial Principal Product Manager, Technical, to own the roadmap and feature delivery for one of Amazon's key inventory placement systems. As a technical product owner, you will define, test, and launch significant features that improve the quality of our system's decisions and drive business outcomes. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers and research scientists on system architecture and algorithm development. Additionally, you will engage with a wide range of technical teams and business stakeholders across Amazon's global operations.
Key job responsibilities:
- Define a creative, high-quality, long-term product roadmap based on team strategy and vision.
- Develop detailed business requirements for the science solution, drive architectural choices, and support technical design.
- Create buy-in for the product vision and strategy among stakeholders, technical, and leadership teams.
- Drive product launches in concert with engineering, science, and analytics teams.
