Product Manager, Technical

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

The Global Network Delivery organization, within AWS, is seeking a Product Manager, Technical (PM-T) to own our internal software tool (SPS - Smart Planning System), collect requirements from internal customers, prioritize, and collaborate with engineers to deploy software capabilities that streamlines cabling ordering and deployment, reduces lead times, and delivers maximum value to teams, vendors, and customers.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Voice of Customer: deeply understand internal customer needs and feedback of our users with our products. Articulate and provide input into feature prioritization and product planning. Own and be the champion for voice of the end user.
  • Track User Satisfaction and Engagement frequently and make modifications to the product experience to deliver 5 star ratings. Track User Support issues and deliver quick and efficient resolution to ensure sustained experience.
  • Define and drive technical execution by writing detailed requirements, partnering with engineering on feasibility, understanding the architecture, making technology stack decisions, and balancing technical debt against new feature development.
  • Roadmap Planning: Participate in cross-functional process to translate the desired customer experiences into a logically sequenced and optimized product roadmap. Create buy-in for the feature prioritization with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with NLM-Cabling Services and other teams to strategize tool integrations, prioritize feature work, and outline budget and resources required to implement product roadmaps.
  • Set and track success metrics to measure tools adoption, efficiency gains, deployment speed, and value delivered.
  • Work closely with the Insights & Reports team to ensure inputs from upstream tools are accurately reflected in BI dashboards, with proper validation for data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Work independently in a high-pressure environment with all levels of leadership and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist.
  • Present progress, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership effectively.
