Creative Technology Specialist
Amazon XCM is seeking a creative technology specialist to own and evolve the design systems, templates, and creative technology infrastructure that power the EU Creative team's output. This role sits at the intersection of design and technology - you will bring strong design fundamentals combined with technical fluency in GenAI, automation, and templated production to drive efficiency, consistency, and innovation across the team's creative output. You are as much a designer as you are a systems thinker - defining style guides, establishing visual rules, and shaping the design language that underpins the team's production output. You set the creative standard for how templates, components, and assets should look and feel, ensuring that scalability never comes at the cost of craft. You then architect the systems and frameworks that make those standards repeatable at scale. You will explore and implement emerging technologies (GenAI, automation tools, dynamic content systems) to continuously improve the team's capabilities, working closely with the Design Director, Production Designers, and Creative Directors to ensure that systems serve both creative ambition and operational efficiency. You will design for copy and localisation from the ground up. This means building templates and frameworks that accommodate multi-language text expansion, dynamic copy placement, and integration with the team's LLM-driven copy tools and transcreation workflows. You will define the rules for how copy and visual work together across EU10+ locales, ensuring that design systems enable scalable localisation. The ideal candidate brings a dual skillset - equally comfortable building a design system in Figma as they are prototyping a GenAI workflow - and understands how to translate creative vision into scalable, repeatable systems.
