Digital Product Developer For A New Digital Platform At The School Of Communication And Culture

The School Of Communication And Culture, Aarhus University, Is Looking For A Digital Product Developer For A New Digital Platform That Will Help Students Communicate Their Skills And Competences And Create Better Exchange Between Students And Employers. The Project Is A Collaboration Between Aarhus University, The Kitchen And Gejst Studio. The Position Is A One-Year Full-Time Position (37 Hours/Week) And Begins On 1 October 2025 Or As Soon As Possible Thereafter. Tasks

As A Digital Product Developer, You Will Be Responsible For Developing The Product From An Early Prototype To A Scalable And Sustainable Digital Product. You Will Link Vision And Technology And Have Considerable Influence On The Product's Direction, Architecture And Values.

Your Tasks Include:

• Developing and scaling the technical platform (frontend/backend/integrations)
• Selecting and implementing relevant technologies, frameworks and AI tools
• Working closely with the design, user and business side in a lean setup
• Building and iterating based on concrete user feedback and tests
• Taking leadership of the product's technical roadmap – and perhaps later the team.

• Have strong programming skills (full-stack, frontend or backend) that you are passionate about developing in practice
• Passionate about generative AI, user-centric development, and new ways of learning
• Thrive in an environment with responsibility, flexibility and great creative freedom
• Have experience with or curiosity about lean startup methods
• Can see yourself taking technical responsibility in a small, dedicated team
• Are motivated by the mission to help students communicate their skills.

Your Primary Workplace Will Be The Department Of Digital Design And Information Studies, Helsingforsgade 14, 8200 Aarhus N, Denmark. However, Part Of The Work Will Take Place In The Kitchen, AU (University City 14, 8000 Aarhus), And At Gejst Studio (Mejlgade 35, 8000 Aarhus).
