Technical Solutions Designer (TSD)

The Technical Solutions Designer (TSD) collaborates with the client as a partner to understand the client's needs and co-construct the organizational solution that meets their needs.

They are responsible for developing business both on new and existing clients by providing support and expertise to the sales team in organizational analysis and laboratory automation solutions.

On qualified projects, they analyze the critical points of laboratory organizations and propose the best technical and organizational solutions to meet client expectations and needs while improving the profitability of business on these matters.

What you will do:

  • Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements
  • Organizational analysis: They intervene in identified and qualified projects of the Acquisition team to ensure a fine and documented analysis of the existing or to develop scenarios for improving the organization, processes, and configurations.
  • Develop proposals for efficient organization of workstations, activity flows to improve the performance and profits of the client and Abbott.
  • Research and propose industrial or commercial partners capable of providing technical and organizational solutions that are sources of efficiency and value to Abbott's offer.
  • Provide Lean-6 Sigma consultant skills in managing strategic account projects.
  • Identify on the market services and/or technical solutions from commercial partnerships with other companies to improve our attractiveness and performance in the sales cycle.
  • Actively participate and coordinate technological surveillance in the field of laboratory automation and organization.
  • Provide technical information related to their skills in our responses to calls for tenders.
  • Maintain a trusting relationship with excellence sites.
  • Manage and participate in prospect visits on excellence sites.
  • Success in these roles and missions is measured by the renewal of existing contracts, the development of new business, the development of profitable sales measured by the improvement of EP as well as the satisfaction of our clients (NPS).

Competencies Required:

  • Without experience: BAC + 5 Scientific or Engineering School, holder of a university degree or equivalent, ideally in a scientific field or related to economics/commercial studies and/or equivalent experience.
  • With experience: B.T.S + 2 with 4 years of experience in a similar position in the diagnostic field.

Competencies Desired:

  • Team spirit – establish strong relationships at all levels of the organization and be a powerful motivator who knows how to influence and get others to constantly do their best. Very good communication skills.
  • Schematic representation analysis (flow diagram, process, CAD, etc.)
  • Experience in private and hospital medical biology laboratories
  • Ability to analyze the organizational issues of hospital and private technical platforms
  • Skills in presentation techniques
  • Ability to work in a team and in project mode
  • Fluent English

Many travel trips are expected.
