The Learning Experience Design & Dev. Specialist manages day-to-day planning and execution of multiple training development efforts. They ensure that projects are executed according to defined process, quality, budget, and timelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and develop instructional materials.
• Design and implement instructional strategies, curricula, and learning materials that align to business needs.
• Develop and maintain e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and other learning resources.
• Demonstrated knowledge of innovative learning tools and products, ensuring the use of the latest technologies to deliver instructional information for an audience based on learning activities approaches to help an organization achieve their learning goals.
Prepare design documents that meet business requirements o Conduct audience and needs analyses to confirm appropriateness of learning objectives (as required). o Present course/curriculum designs to stakeholders and/or Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather inputs and finalize. o Facilitate content gathering from SMEs to create course designs. o Identify learning objectives based on business drivers and performance goals; map course content to appropriate learning objectives. o Create mockups/prototypes to support design, ideation (as needed). · Manage the training development cycle o Create detailed workplan based on budget and resource plan. o Set expectations with the team regarding budget and course schedule. o Manage development of course content and facilitate media requirements according to project workplan and schedule. o Review training deliverables for: § completeness, structure, instructional approach, and visualization § writing style, compliance to standards, language and grammar § functionality and usability (eLearning builds) o Manage work effort of team members to maintain scope.
Manage team members o Provide coaching to team members on process, quality metrics and individual development areas. o Report status, identify potential risks and recommendations for mitigation. o Provide regular feedback on team performance, suggest action items.
