What would you do?
The GBS CRM Marketing Automation Executive is the hands-on operational owner responsible for the accurate and compliant execution of automated customer journeys within an assigned area. Reporting to the Area Consumer Experience Manager, this role is expected to manage omnichannel campaign setup, deploy consumer segmentation, and execute campaigns. The focus is on flawless execution, strict adherence to global governance, and ensuring all regional marketing efforts leverage the CRM platform to drive engagement.
What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?
This role’s primary impact is guaranteeing the timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of all regional automated campaigns/communications, which directly influences customer engagement and conversion rates. The Executive ensures the integrity of marketing automated campaign deliverables and optimization, by scaling A/B testing and incorporating learnings to improve business results and standards. By serving as the expert in execution, they free up the Area Consumer Experience Manager to focus on overarching team management & oversight.
What are we looking for?
• Microsoft Excel ESSENTIAL Experience Required? Proven experience in a support or executive role within CRM or marketing automation. Demonstrated working experience in executing and supporting automated email and SMS campaigns. Past experiences in the FMCG and e-commerce industries are preferred. Strong understanding of CRM platforms and their role in customer communication. Certificate in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. A generic Salesforce certification will not meet the requirements for granting access to Marketing Cloud. The global standard required the person to have the Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification, and a copy of the certificate will be required to provide access. Hands-on experience working within cross-functional teams. 4+ years of experience in a CRM or marketing-related role. The 4+ years' experience mentioned in the role profile must be experiences using Marketing Cloud and not generic CRM or Marketing role.
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required? Deep expertise in Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Content Builder, and Mobile Studio. Strong proficiency in SQL, AMPscript, segmentation logic and dynamic content creation. Knowledge of HTML, CSS for email template customization. Familiarity with marketing automation best practices and deliverability principles. Good analytical skills to assist in translating data and insights into reports. Excellent communicator in English, both verbal and written. Is well-versed with business communication. Confident presentation skills. Strong organizational skills. Comfortable with planning, executing and monitoring tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Proficient and have hands-on experience with CRM platforms and analytics dashboards.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required? University degree. Preferably, a major in Marketing or digital agency background.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Area / DRBU Campaign Execution & Deployment Own the end-to-end execution of area/DRBU automated campaigns, including asset upload, testing, and final deployment. Execute the deployment of consumer segmentation within the CRM platform for all regional campaigns and journeys. Support the campaign set up & activation process, ensuring all technical and compliance checkpoints are met before launch. Contribute to the creation and scaling of email templates, ensuring regional updating/refreshing templates adheres to brand and regulatory standards.
Technical Support & Quality Assurance Perform rigorous QA (Quality Assurance) checks on all campaign builds, focusing specifically on audience selection rules, journey logic, and compliance disclaimers. Utilize Proficiency with CRM platforms and analytics dashboards to execute standard campaign performance KPI tracking & reporting on effectiveness. Actively monitor campaign performance post-launch and quickly escalate any technical or performance anomalies to the Global CRM and Automation Manager and to the Area Consumer Experience Manager. Apply Strong organizational skills to manage the planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple concurrent marketing tasks.
Collaboration & Optimization Leverage Hands-on experience working within cross-functional teams (e.g., Consumer activation, LEX, agencies) to ensure smooth asset and approval flow. Utilize good analytical skills to assist the Global CRM and Automation Manager in translating campaign data and insights into performance reports. Support the implementation of Optimization recommendations based on A/B testing and performance data to enhance regional journey effectiveness.
