Acosta Group is looking for an experienced and passionate Product Owner to lead a cross-functional team in discovering and delivering innovative solutions. In this individual contributor role, you will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a critical area of our product. You will be at the forefront of tackling complex user problems and business challenges, driving the development of products from concept to launch and beyond. We are seeking a leader who can inspire their team, deeply understand our customers, and deliver meaningful outcomes.
Manage the full product lifecycle: Guide products from conception through launch, iteration, introduction of new features, improvement of existing features, and eventual sun-setting, making difficult but necessary decisions to keep the product focused and effective.
Drive product outcomes: Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. You are accountable for ensuring solutions are desirable for our customers and viable for our business in service of achieving measurable results through your product.
Define product success: Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of the product, including the creation of business cases and ROI analyses to justify new investments.
Influence through data and logic: Influence teammates, colleagues, stakeholders, and key executives through your use of data and logic, not direct authority. You communicate clearly by creating and maintaining collateral to support your product strategy and priorities.
Collaborate to discover and deliver: Partner closely with your product designer and engineers to contribute ideas, leverage various discovery techniques, and de-risk of solving the wrong problem or building the wrong solution. Work together to deliver those solutions to market, understanding that consistent innovation comes from the entire team's contributions.
Develop relevant product knowledge: Bring a deep understanding of our users, customers, and data on how they engage with our products through quantitative and qualitative capture and analysis. At the same time, master the business constraints from marketing, sales, service, finance, legal, and privacy to ship with minimal fuss.
Partner on go-to-market strategy: Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to define the go-to-market strategy, positioning, and launch plan. Ensure the teams responsible for selling and supporting the product are enabled for success.
Track the landscape: Continuously track industry trends and the competitive landscape as they pertain to your product as inputs to improving product defensibility and innovation.
Level-up the team: Act as a mentor and coach to other product managers, helping to improve our product craft and processes. Actively contribute to a culture of product excellence.
Champion the product: Regularly present product strategy, key insights, and business outcomes to the executive leadership team and other senior stakeholders for continuous leadership buy-in.
5-10 years of direct product management experience, preferably in a SaaS/B2B/Consumertechnology company, with a proven track record of continuous problem and solution discovery, delivery, and measurement to ship successful products.
Discovery-driven prioritization. You have a proven track record of making product decisions using modern product discovery techniques (e.g. customer interviews, opportunity assessments, opportunity solution trees, journey maps), running experiments (e.g., prototyping, A/B testing), and leveraging product analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel).
A strong sense of accountability. You are a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and thrives on challenges. You are not afraid to sign up for outcomes, understanding that shipping is necessary, but not sufficient.
Excellent leadership and collaboration skills. You know how to build trust, provide context, and inspire stakeholders and a cross-functional team to achieve ambitious goals. You are a team player who puts the success of customers and the team first.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. You can create clarity and alignment even in complex and ambiguous situations.
Experience with iterative development methodologies and working in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Technical credibility. Sufficient technical fluency to understand system design, evaluate technical trade-offs, and engage in credible discussions with engineers about architecture and technical debt.
Experience working in Retail Technology, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), or Omnichannel Commerce.
Familiarity with data-driven product development, including analytics platforms or customer insights tools.
Experience with API-first product development or managing platform products.
