C-17 Sustainment Obsolescence and Capabilities Enhancement Engineer

Join a team dedicated to supporting a fleet of 275 C-17 Globemaster III Airlifters as part of a multiyear, multi-billion dollar sustainment contract. This role focuses on the C-17 Sustainment Obsolescence and Capabilities Enhancement programs, which necessitate a modern Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and tool.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for applying industry-standard analysis methods to enhance and optimize engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Lead the adaptation and implementation of national and industry standards for product definition data.
• Oversee the strategic implementation of new approaches to program planning that simulate the multi-functional dependencies of the product development lifecycle for complex, highly integrated products.
• Support IPDM R9/2312 Change Request test development and testing as the Engineering SME.
• Support IPDM R9/2312 Data Migration test development and testing as the Engineering SME.
• Lead requirements integration test development and testing of Model Based Systems Engineering System Models with IPDM R5 R9/2312.
• Work under consultative direction.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study in engineering.
• 10 years of experience working with systems engineering processes.
• 10 years of experience integrating digital engineering modeling, such as 3D solid modeling and systems modeling simulation.
• 10 years of experience with analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• 5 years of experience creating technical presentations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited course of study in engineering.
• 15 years of experience working with systems engineering processes.
• 15 years of experience integrating digital engineering modeling, such as 3D solid modeling and systems modeling simulation.
• 15 years of experience with analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• 8 years of experience creating technical presentations and presenting them to stakeholders.
• Education or experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
• DOD experience.
• Aerospace experience.
• Model Based Systems Engineering experience.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00/hr.
