Architectural Designer
We are seeking a talented and motivated Architectural Designer with five years of experience to join our dynamic and collaborative studio. This role involves working on healthcare projects and requires strong technical and design capabilities. Proficiency in Revit is crucial for this position, and there will be opportunities for training from senior staff.
Responsibilities:
- Compile data and perform design computations in collaboration with the project team.
- Work with senior designers and project teams on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Apply creative design concepts to projects and expand on concepts of others.
- Participate in project proposals to develop design solutions.
- Understand industry-standard construction techniques, building regulations, and engineering principles to apply to project plans.
- Support design efforts and client presentations to develop client relationships.
- Develop, modify, and review drawings to incorporate the design intent.
- Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and implementation documents.
- Collaborate on the development of design throughout appropriate phases of the project.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Experience in all phases of design.
- 5+ years of commercial experience, including construction administration and design development.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation and commercial construction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture preferred.
- Pursuing licensure.
- Basic understanding of codes and ADA.
- Client interfacing personality.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
Work Environment:
This position offers a flexible work environment, with three days in the office and two days remote. As part of an international firm with a diverse portfolio, you'll have the opportunity to work in a Richmond office that includes three main studios: Healthcare, Mission Critical, and Sports. Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
