Architectural Designer

Architectural Designers utilizing Revit play a crucial role in supporting the planning, design, and documentation of building projects. They assist senior architects or project managers by conceptualizing layouts, determining spatial and functional requirements, and preparing design specifications. This position involves creating scaled drawings and detailed 3D models using Autodesk Revit, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and renderings for presentations and construction documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in design development by working closely with senior architects or project managers.
• Create detailed 3D models and scaled drawings using Autodesk Revit.
• Participate in construction administration tasks, including submittal reviews and responding to RFIs.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure design accuracy and integration across disciplines.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience in construction documentation and design development.
• Ability to effectively interface with clients and participate in meetings.
• Strong detailing and presentation skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited Architecture or Architectural Drafting Program.
• 7-15 years of professional experience.
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of building codes and other design codes is preferred.
• Demonstrated sketching ability and experience in envisioning and enacting design concepts.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bel Air, MD.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
