Architectural Designer

We are seeking a talented Architectural Designer with 5 years of experience to join our dynamic and collaborative studio environment. You will work on data center projects, requiring a highly motivated, agile individual with strong technical and design capabilities. Proficiency in Revit is crucial, as we have a wealth of senior staff to provide training and support.

Responsibilities

• Compile data and perform design computations in collaboration with the project team.
• Work with senior designers and project teams on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Apply creative design concepts to projects and expand on concepts developed by others.
• Participate in project proposals to develop innovative design solutions.
• Understand industry-standard construction techniques, building regulations, and engineering principles to apply to project plans.
• Support design efforts and client presentations to foster client relationships.
• Develop, modify, and review drawings to incorporate design intent.
• Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and implementation documents.
• Collaborate on the development of design throughout appropriate phases of the project.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit architecture.
• Experience in all phases of design.
• 5+ years of commercial experience, including construction administration and construction drawings.
• Understanding of design development and construction documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BS in architecture preferred.
• Pursuing licensure.
• Basic understanding of codes and ADA.
• Client interfacing personality.
• 3+ years of experience in the field.

Work Environment

The position offers a flexible work environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely. Our firm competes internationally with some of the biggest names in the industry, with offices in multiple states and a portfolio that spans across multiple disciplines. The Richmond office is organized into three main studios: Healthcare, Mission Critical, and Sports. We also engage in K-12, Hospitality, and Life Science projects. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $36.00/hr.
