Civil Designer

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our dynamic team in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit to create detailed and precise construction plans. This role involves collaborating with lead engineers, attending client meetings to understand project specifications, and drafting both 2D and 3D construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit to develop detailed construction plans.
• Attend client meetings to gather and understand project specifications.
• Collaborate with lead engineers to create project timelines.
• Draft both 2D and 3D construction plans in support of the PPC (Pittsburgh Park Conservatory) Project.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in civil site design and development.
• Experience with Civil 3D and stormwater management design.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD, grading, and site development.
• 2-5 years of experience in Civil Site Design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required (must have High School Diploma or GED).
• Desire to grow and continually improve through education and training.
• Experience in overcoming adversity, demonstrating resilience and work ethic.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a close-knit team and market the company.

Work Environment

Our client is a small, privately-held Civil Design firm with a family-oriented atmosphere and an open floor plan. The Pittsburgh office is located on the North Side along the river, featuring 12 employees who work closely as a team. The company values celebrating accomplishments and team collaboration and is forecasting 20% growth for the Pittsburgh office this year. The firm has been in business since 1998 and also operates a second office in Cleveland.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
