Civil Designer

As a Civil Designer, you will utilize Civil 3D to develop detailed designs, reports, and engineering studies. You will prepare and deliver project technical documents, technical specifications, and design calculations with precision. In this role, you will coordinate drawing development with technical staff and create proposed grading surfaces, such as feature lines and convenience of flow (drainage). You will also perform project and construction administration of related designs as required.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Civil 3D to develop detailed designs and engineering studies.
• Prepare and deliver project technical documents and specifications.
• Coordinate drawing development with technical staff.
• Create proposed grading surfaces for drainage.
• Perform project and construction administration for related designs.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in Civil 3D.
• 5+ years of civil design experience.
• Experience working on land development projects including industrial, commercial, residential, multifamily, or public works.
• Ability to create proposed grading surfaces and manage site development, stormwater, and storm drain designs.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil design principles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with Plan Sheet Set, Roadway Alignment, Feature Lines, Plan & Profiles, and Pipe Network in Civil 3D.
• An EIT qualification would be a plus but not mandatory.

Work Environment:

The position is office-based for five days a week with hours from Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
