Provide visionary leadership to the Engineering Design Department, establishing strategic direction, objectives, and priorities aligned with corporate goals.
Oversee the design and development of grinding systems and related technologies, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and performance targets.
Develop and implement engineering best practices, standard operating procedures, and design protocols to enhance consistency, quality, and innovation.
Serve as the technical authority on product architecture, design integrity, and engineering problem-solving.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development.
Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align design strategies with market demands and operational capabilities.
Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing new design tools, materials, and methodologies that advance product development and competitiveness.
Ensure effective utilization of CAD systems and ERP-integrated BOM workflows, promoting data integrity and process efficiency.
Review and approve critical design concepts, timelines, budgets, and project scopes; ensure technical accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Act as a key stakeholder in product lifecycle management, from concept through to commercialization and post-launch improvements.
Monitor industry trends and technological advancements to inform design strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
Contribute to budget planning, resource allocation, and strategic investment decisions related to engineering and design.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
Minimum 7-10 years of progressive engineering experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership or management role within a product design environment.
Deep expertise in engineering design principles, applied physics, and mechanical/electrical systems.
Proven track record of leading successful design teams and delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
Strong business acumen with the ability to align engineering initiatives with broader company strategy.
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
Proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems, and BOM workflows.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with capital equipment or industrial systems.

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
