Director of Product Management

We are seeking a Director of Product Management to drive the strategic vision and execution of AI software experiences. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives to maximize user and business impact. You will manage and empower product managers within pods, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Collaboration with peers focused on product planning, operational excellence, and future partner experiences is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives for maximum user and business impact.
• Manage and empower product managers within the pods, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with product management peers focused on product planning, operational excellence, and exploration of future partner experiences.
• Utilize market research, user data, and feedback to identify new opportunities and inform product direction.
• Translate insights into innovative solutions that address real user needs.
• Work with strategy and business development teams to evolve product strategy and build business cases.
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from discovery to launch, ensuring timely delivery, high quality, and alignment with user and business goals.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and strategic plans to executive leadership and key stakeholders, securing buy-in and ensuring alignment across the organization.

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience delivering AI-powered or user-centric software products.
• 10+ years of product management experience, including leadership roles with cross-functional teams in technology organizations.
• 5+ years of experience as part of Product Management Leadership in technology organizations, including growing Product Management teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with consumer electronics with design, software, hardware, and development teams.
• Ability to communicate the technical limitations of design for Mobile, Web, and/or Android products.
• Proven ability to define product vision, develop strategy, and execute complex roadmaps.
• Experience working in agile, pod-based organizations and collaborating with software and hardware teams.
• Experience coaching and developing high-performing product teams.

Work Environment:

The position is open to remote work within the US, with a preference for candidates located in Chicago, IL. Remote work may require travel. The work environment is fast-paced and driven by an entrepreneurial spirit. The team is diverse and nimble, combining deep user understanding with collaborative empowerment to create innovative experiences across wearables, smartphones, tablets, laptops, and cloud services.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits:
