Help Us Power the Future of Infrastructure
Are you ready to make an impact on critical electric infrastructure and be part of a team that keeps communities connected? We're seeking an Electric Distribution Designer to join our team—a collaborative group dedicated to improving and modernizing electrical distribution systems.
If you're detail-oriented, solution-driven, and excited about advancing your career in utility design, this role is an excellent fit.
As an Electric Distribution Designer, you will play a key role in planning and designing low-voltage electric distribution projects. Your work ensures infrastructure reliability, safety, and long-term sustainability. In this role, you will:
You'll begin by supporting ESS4 work—designing and closing out work orders for repairs based on issues identified by field teams. You'll receive training on DDS (design package software) and Crews, FirstEnergy's version of SAP used to complete work orders.
As you grow in the role, you'll advance into make-ready work and eventually low-voltage distribution (LVD) design. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer looking to deepen their technical skill set and build a long-term career in the utility sector.
