Distribution Designer

We are seeking a motivated junior designer to join a dynamic team working on Pepco projects. This role offers the opportunity to learn from technical experts and requires a commitment to improving design skills daily. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, ask insightful questions, and contribute to the team's success.

Responsibilities

• Design projects using Microstation.
• Conduct site walkthroughs to capture pictures and take field notes.
• Coordinate job status updates with customers and client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the design team and participate in the QA process.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Microstation.
• Experience with distribution design and power distribution.
• Knowledge of GWD software to support Pepco projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and drafting techniques.
• Strong skills in customer service.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• An associate's degree is a plus.
• Prior experience with Pepco is advantageous.
• Familiarity with AS8 (Asset Suite 8).

Work Environment

The role offers a combination of remote and in-office work, with remote work scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The office is currently located in Owings Mills, but will be moving to Columbia, MD later in the year. The position includes hands-on training and opportunities for career growth within a growing EOC. Dress code is business casual.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
