Drafter Level 2 Or 3

We are seeking a Drafter Level 2 or 3 located in Palmdale, California. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain system and sub-system drawing packages.
• Plan layouts, draw, and revise detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings based on established references and standard data.
• Incorporate redlines from the engineering team.
• Utilize computer-aided design equipment and graphic tools such as CAD, CAM, or CATIA.
• Complete details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices.
• Determine scaling, inserts, reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.
• Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations and complete production detail drawings.
• Contribute design modifications to improve product quality or facilitate manufacturing operations.

Essential Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of additional education and/or related experience for Drafter Level 2.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years of additional education and/or related experience for Drafter Level 3.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5, NX, CADAM, CADEX, and GDT.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or higher.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Work Environment:

This position follows a 9/80 onsite work schedule, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Palmdale, California.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
