Electrical Designer
As an Electrical Designer, you will provide advanced electrical engineering design services for a variety of federal facility projects. You will lead and coordinate design-build projects, working closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams. Your role will involve developing and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and calculations, ensuring all designs meet rigorous federal standards, codes, and client requirements. You will also be expected to drive innovation and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle and mentor junior staff while supporting project management as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced electrical engineering design services for federal facility projects.
- Lead and coordinate design-build projects with architects, engineers, and construction teams.
- Develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Ensure all designs meet federal standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Drive innovation and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor junior staff and support project management as needed.
Essential Skills:
- At least 5 years of electrical engineering experience with exposure to federal or healthcare projects.
- Proven success in leading design-build projects.
- Deep understanding of federal standards, codes, and project delivery methods.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is a strong plus.
- Licensed Engineer (Plus).
- Experience in electrical design, schematic design, and power distribution.
- Familiarity with SKM power tools and analysis calculations.
- Experience in electrical systems and site assessment.
Work Environment:
This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from any location. The project will last at least three years, with more projects to follow, indicating a long-term opportunity.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract to Hire position.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $72.00/hr.
