Electrical Designer

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Designer who's ready to work on impactful, technically diverse projects alongside a collaborative engineering team. In this role, you'll be hands-on from concept through construction—designing smart, reliable electrical systems that support complex facilities and infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop electrical schematics, one-lines, and grid plan layouts
• Produce high-quality drawings for construction and production, incorporating design calculations and technical analysis
• Update designs, sketches, and drawings based on redlines and evolving project needs
• Review reports, drawings, and test data to support electrical system design
• Apply applicable codes, standards, and client specifications to each project
• Perform quality checks to ensure designs meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements
• Develop conduit, grounding, and panel wiring layouts
• Manage drawing revisions and maintain organized project documentation
• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure clear communication
• Support site and facility design efforts as needed

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of electrical design experience using AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation
• Strong proficiency with 2D and 3D design tools
• Solid understanding of electrical design principles, calculations, and systems
• Experience supporting capital projects, including larger-scale or complex designs
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment

Education (One of the Following)

• Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Design, or a related field with 5+ years of experience, or
• Associate degree with 6+ years of experience, or
• High School diploma with 7+ years of progressive electrical design experience

Work Environment

• Professional consulting engineering firm with a collaborative team of engineers and project managers
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote after an initial onboarding period
• Business casual office environment
• Occasional local site visits (approximately 5% travel)

The team is highly collaborative within Lexington and across the organization, providing a supportive and culture-driven work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $46.99/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
