Bring complex power generation facilities to life through advanced 3D electrical design.

This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge Advanced Power Generation (APG) projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design the electrical systems behind critical energy infrastructure. You'll play a hands-on role in shaping power facilities through detailed 3D modeling and design, with a strong emphasis on Bentley MicroStation and related Bentley tools.

As a VDDS Staff Engineering Technician, you'll lead the development of high-quality 2D and 3D electrical deliverables, including duct banks, cable tray systems, grounding, and lighting layouts. Working with minimal supervision, you'll apply advanced electrical design knowledge while ensuring accuracy, constructability, and coordination across disciplines. Experience with AGI32 lighting design is a plus.

What You'll Do

• Create and coordinate 3D electrical models and drawings using Bentley MicroStation
• Lead electrical design efforts across complex power generation projects
• Ensure technical quality, schedule adherence, and budget awareness
• Establish and enforce design standards and best practices
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and guide junior designers
• Drive continuous improvement in design tools, workflows, and processes

What You Bring

• Strong 3D design experience in Bentley MicroStation
• 10+ years of electrical design or engineering technology experience
• Deep understanding of power generation facility design
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate across project teams

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
