Actalent is seeking a Digital Board Designer to work for an aerospace company located in the west island for a long term opportunity.

Job Description

We are seeking Digital Board Designers to support the development of advanced electronic boards for space applications. Working under the guidance of experienced board designers, you will contribute to the design of CPU boards, digital control/processing boards, motor drive boards, and data sampling or pattern generation boards. These designs will integrate FPGAs, CPUs, and various high-speed serial or parallel interfaces. Applications include space robotics, satellite constellations, radar imaging, and telecommunications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuits.
• Developing multi-layer PCB layouts (up to 18 layers).
• Supporting schematic capture, layout, and documentation.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams in a highly regulated environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 5–10+ years of experience in hardware/electronics design (digital, mixed-signal, or analog).
• Experience in high-speed circuitry design (>1GHz).
• Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Mentor Graphics, Altium, or PADS.
• Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, medical, telecom, or robotics.
• Controlled Goods certification and reliability clearance required.
• Local candidates preferred, even if more junior.

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $125000.00/yr.

This is a hybrid position in Sainte-Anne-De-Bellevue, QC.
