Phlebotomist

The primary role of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various duties, including troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations. The phlebotomist plays a vital part in ensuring efficient specimen collection and processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate work areas and update patient information.
• Collect and store specimens following established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collections clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Understand and follow physicians' orders precisely.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes accurately.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wesley Chapel, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
