Instrumentation And Controls Design Manager
We are seeking a dedicated Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join our team as an Instrumentation and Controls Design Manager. This role involves overseeing and performing the design of control panel and instrumentation projects, specifically for wastewater treatment companies. The ideal candidate will be an engineer capable of leading a team, monitoring projects from inception to completion, and consulting with clients on panel and project design.
Responsibilities
- Design control panels using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Monitor and control project processes, collaborating with project managers to develop control panel and instrument submittals.
- Work with end clients to get drawings approved and ensure proper assembly of projects on the shop floor.
- Provide technical support to ensure compliance with UL and other quality standards.
- Check the work of 1-2 other engineers on projects and offer expert consultation.
Essential Skills
- Experience with CAD design and electrical design using AutoCAD 2023.
- Proficiency in industrial control panel design and PLC programming (Modicon, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
- Strong leadership and vendor management skills.
- Experience with troubleshooting, report writing, project engineering, and technical support.
- 5+ years in controls, instrumentation, electrical troubleshooting, and design on control panels.
- Experience in the water/wastewater industry or similar fields.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SCADA systems, instrument submissions, and blueprint reading.
- 1+ years of project management or direct management of controls and instrumentation drawings.
- Ability to design, assemble, and install control panels.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
