Interior Designer

Our client in the Seattle, WA location is currently hiring an experienced Interior Designer to support a high-volume corporate account on the dealer side. This role focuses on furniture layout, specification accuracy, and client-facing collaboration for commercial office environments. The position requires an initial on-site presence with hybrid flexibility after ramp-up.

Pay: Competitive pay based on years of experience, contract furniture expertise, software proficiency, and relevant project exposure.

Location: Seattle, WA

Hybrid structure: 3 days onsite with the team and 2 days onsite with the client

Schedule: Standard Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Create accurate furniture layouts and space plans for private offices and support spaces
  • Develop detailed furniture specifications and ensure order accuracy
  • Utilize CET and AutoCAD to produce design and planning documentation
  • Serve as a knowledgeable, client-facing design partner supporting a fast-moving corporate account
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Collaborate closely with sales, project management, and installation teams
  • Adapt quickly to scope changes while maintaining quality and attention to detail

Qualification Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with a contract furniture dealer
  • Proven commercial office space planning experience
  • Strong proficiency in CET and AutoCAD (non-negotiable)
  • Experience producing furniture layouts, specifications, and dealer-side documentation
  • Confidence working directly with clients in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

Disqualifiers

  • No contract furniture dealer experience
  • Lack of CET or AutoCAD proficiency
  • Experience limited to residential or A&D-only environments
  • Less than 5 years of relevant commercial furniture experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
