Interior Designer

Join our dynamic design team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional interior design projects. Work closely with project design teams and clients to ensure successful project outcomes across all phases, from programming to construction documentation. Play a pivotal role in healthcare design projects, offering your expertise and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the project design team and client team in each phase of the project delivery process.
• Contribute to all aspects and phases of the interior design process, including programming, space analysis/planning, concepts, material/furniture selection, working drawings, specifications, and CD packages.
• Attend and lead project meetings with clients.
• Collaborate with a wide range of project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and design team consultants.
• Maintain and organize interior design project files.
• Maintain and update the office interior library by working with product representatives.
• Travel to and from project and client meetings as required.

Essential Skills

• Strong technical skills in interior design.
• 3-5+ years of experience in the interior design industry with relevant built work experience.
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor design detailing and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in documenting all phases of the interior design process.
• Excellent graphic and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional client service orientation and relationship-building skills.
• Strong proficiency in Revit.
• Solid MS Office abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare design projects is a plus.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe software.

Work Environment

This position is based out of our Rockville, Maryland office location for local candidates. After six months of employment, a hybrid work arrangement is available, with an expectation of working three days per week in the office, at a client site, or at off-site locations for company-sponsored events as needed. Enjoy our brand new Class A office space with free parking. Our firm consists of 55-60 team members, with project teams varying in size from 2-5 or 8+ depending on project scope. We specialize in stable healthcare projects, offering a collaborative and challenging work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $38.00/hr.
