Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement interior design standards for a wide range of internal and external facing spaces across a global portfolio.
  • Select appropriate FF&E, finishes, and other design elements in partnership with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Collaborate with corporate real estate project managers to create and coordinate conceptual designs for executive and finance review and approval.
  • Work with internal collaborators to develop strategic design plans that support new initiatives and improvements to existing spaces.
  • Lead and execute space planning, programming, and utilization calculations for owned and maintained facilities throughout the network.
  • Open, review, interpret, and understand architectural plans produced by third-party architects and engineers.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on interior design and interior architecture for new or evolving initiatives and standards.
  • Prepare and refine schematic designs and design documents to support project development and stakeholder alignment.
  • Create compelling design presentations, including layouts, test fits, and material boards, to communicate design intent to leadership and partners.
  • Ensure design solutions align with ADA and accessibility compliance requirements and other applicable standards.
  • Participate in and support construction administration activities by reviewing design intent, documentation, and field conditions as needed.
  • Assist with resource development, including creating and maintaining finish libraries, Revit templates, and design guidelines.
  • Contribute to the design of a variety of space types such as work and office spaces, break rooms, mother's rooms, lounges, and hangar spaces.
  • Manage time and workload effectively across a high volume of projects, prioritizing tasks based on leadership guidance and project deadlines.
  • Coordinate with third-party architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure design standards and guidelines are understood and implemented.
  • Support the continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and standards within a small, generalist design team.
  • Engage in regular communication with stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and incorporate feedback into design deliverables.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, with the potential to contribute to 50+ projects per year across different typologies and locations.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Architecture.
  • Approximately 12–15 years of professional experience in interior design and interior architecture, with a stronger emphasis on design.
  • Demonstrated experience on workplace projects and corporate environments.
  • Strong interior design skills, including FF&E selection, test-fitting, material selection, and creation of design presentations.
  • Interior architecture skills including schematic design, preparation of design and construction documents, and review of architectural plans.
  • Exposure to the construction administration phase and understanding of how design intent is realized during construction.
  • Proficiency in InDesign with hands-on experience producing design presentations and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Revit for developing and coordinating design and documentation.
  • Experience using Bluebeam for reviewing and marking up drawings and documents (expert level not required).
  • Ability to work with Excel for schedules, tracking, and basic data management.
  • Experience in multiple project typologies, with preference for workplace, aviation, and industrial environments.
  • Exposure to and understanding of ADA and accessibility compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly present design concepts and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
