New Mechanical Engineering Opportunity Supporting The Development Of Next-Gen Avionics Systems
As a Mechanical Designer, you will develop 3D mechanical models and 2D drawings using CREO. You will translate engineering requirements, concepts, and sketches into detailed mechanical designs and create and maintain assembly models, part drawings, GD&T, and bills of materials (BOMs). You will support design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and cost optimization efforts while collaborating with mechanical, electrical (ECAD), and systems engineers on integrated designs.
Responsibilities
- Participate in design reviews, incorporating feedback and resolving technical issues.
- Interface with manufacturing, suppliers, and vendors to support prototype builds and production release.
- Update and maintain design documentation in PLM/PDM systems.
- Support engineering change orders (ECOs) and revision control.
- Assist with tolerance analysis, material selection, and basic mechanical calculations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and internal design guidelines.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency with CREO as a design software.
- Experience with Windchill PLM/PDM tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical components and assemblies, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and requirements.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design or CAD drafting.
- Experience in a regulated or high-reliability industry such as aerospace or medical.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

This is a contract position based out of Nashua, NH.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47.12 - $94.17/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
