Mecaer specializes in landing gear systems for helicopters and small aircraft. Responsibilities include designing and integrating landing gear components, assemblies, and systems to meet customer requirements. Producing engineering drawings, datasets, and documents to support production design. Identifying component key characteristics. Issuing weight reports and calculating components' weight, moment of inertia, center of gravity, etc. Administering computer-assisted design (CAD) systems and datasets. Helping define test articles, test requirements, and criteria for internal development and qualification testing. Performing other duties as required.
Essential skills include a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, experience in the aerospace industry, and experience with Catia V5. Additional skills and qualifications include experience with aero parts, landing gear, BOM, brakes, actuators, axle, mechanism, suspension, shock absorbers, transmission, flaps, aircraft, helicopter, braking systems, hydraulics, gearbox. Nice to have landing gear experience.
The company consists of 100 people, with 28 in the engineering team. The design team has 5 members, and you will be the 6th to join them. This is a contract to hire position based out of Laval, QC. The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. This is a hybrid position in Laval, QC.
