Mechanical Designer

The Mechanical Designer will support engineers by creating and modifying drawing layouts using computer-aided drafting software. This role involves developing new components and Bill of Materials (BOM) in compliance with established standards.

Responsibilities

• Update current drawings based on engineering markups and re-master CAD drawings to current formats.
• Create 3D and 2D layouts using computer-aided drafting systems following design team instructions.
• Ensure accuracy and organization of work, adhering to dimension and tolerance conventions and established CAD specifications and standards.
• Utilize ERP systems to create part numbers, ensuring proper naming and data entry.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical design, GD&T, and Creo.
• Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Associate degree or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in drafting/design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented approach to work.

Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring the use of advanced computer-aided drafting software and ERP systems. The role demands a detail-oriented approach and effective communication within the design team.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $43.27/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
