As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components and assemblies, primarily using SolidWorks software. You will collaborate with design engineers and other team members to interpret design concepts and specifications, ensuring accurate representation in the CAD models and drawings. Your role involves developing and optimizing sheet metal designs for manufacturability, considering material selection, bending allowances, tolerance requirements, and assembly constraints.

The position is based at the Actalent Center in Troy, MI. You will be required to work onsite for 5 days a week. The first day involves traveling to the plant in Fenton, with monthly visits to the plant thereafter.
