As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing parts and assemblies for both new and existing products, utilizing plastic and metal materials. You will create 3D part files, manufacturing drawings, and assembly drawings using SolidWorks. Your role includes improving the design of existing parts to enhance manufacturability, reliability, or reduce cost where necessary. You will perform tolerance stack-up, basic thermal, and stress analyses, and build and test prototypes to ensure all essential design requirements are met. Additionally, you will develop engineering testing plans and execute or assist in their implementation.
The work environment is an in-office setting from 8 AM to 5 PM, featuring an open concept where teams are divided into different sections. The mechanical team consists of anywhere between 5 to 10 engineers depending on the day. The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
