Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Product Design CAD Drafter/Designer to join our Product Design Engineering group. This role involves designing new material handling and process equipment, focusing on piece part and assembly design. You will play a key role in the layout of capital equipment and mechanical weldments, utilizing 3D modeling to bring designs to life.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft mechanical components and assemblies for new material handling and process equipment.
• Develop layouts for capital equipment and mechanical weldments.
• Utilize 3D modeling tools, particularly Inventor and Solidworks, to create detailed designs.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical design and drafting.
• Experience with large assemblies, capital equipment, or mechanical weldments.
• Strong skills in Inventor and Solidworks for 3D modeling.
• Ability to work with sheet metal and mechanical components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• A 2-year degree in mechanical design or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in designing large assemblies, capital equipment, or mechanical weldments.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position located in Vadnais Heights. The company is a leader in pneumatic handling systems and process equipment for bulk solids, offering a dynamic and innovative work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
