This role requires a strong background in aerospace engineering drawing creation for mechanical components, subassemblies, and assemblies. The Sr Mechanical Drafter will primarily support mechanical components and sub-assemblies for production teams and machine shop vendors, facilitating seamless manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include creating and editing designs received from Design Engineers for production/manufacturing purposes.
The work environment is an integrated office and manufacturing space located in San Clemente, CA, providing a combined office and shop environment. Employees work closely with the manufacturing floor, enabling real-time collaboration between engineering, design, and production teams, fostering a hands-on, agile approach to problem-solving and innovation. The facility supports advanced composite manufacturing and aerospace prototyping, with engineers and technical staff regularly engaging in build support and design iteration directly on the floor. This setting accelerates development cycles and enhances cross-functional teamwork. The area offers scenic beaches, a mild climate, and a relaxed Southern California vibe, making it a desirable destination for engineers who value both career growth and quality of life.
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
