New Product Launch Manager

The New Product Launch Manager leads the New Product Launch Team and oversees the end-to-end commercialization of new customer products. This role ensures every launch moves from concept to commercialization on time, on budget, and on specification, balancing customer expectations with operational readiness. As a cross-functional leader, the Launch Manager drives coordination across Sales, R&D, Lab Services, Operations, Supply Chain, QA, and Finance to ensure seamless execution. Beyond project delivery, this role champions process innovation and continuous improvement, optimizing how new product launches are quoted, managed, and scaled within the company's CDMO model.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute comprehensive launch plans and project timelines, aligning priorities across all stakeholders.
  • Ensure each launch meets commercial, operational, and regulatory requirements while achieving customer satisfaction targets.
  • Oversee the full quotation process, coordinating with Sales, R&D, Lab Services, Finance, Operations, and Procurement.
  • Gather and consolidate all operational and procurement inputs to provide accurate information to Finance for profitability assessments.
  • Maintain organized records of all quotes, revisions, and approvals for traceability and process improvement.
  • Drive alignment and accountability among internal teams, ensuring deliverables, dependencies, and milestones are clearly defined and achieved.
  • Partner with Scheduling and Supply Chain to secure material readiness, line time, and capacity for pilots, validations, and first production runs.
  • Serve as the central liaison between customer requirements and internal execution capabilities.
  • Lead cross-functional launch teams to deliver against scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Monitor project health and KPIs; identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage stage gate meetings and contribute to S&OP planning.
  • Escalate issues proactively to leadership with clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Drive "right-first-time" performance by ensuring all launch inputs are accurate and approved before production.
  • Design, implement, and refine best practices for launch workflows, governance, and change management.
  • Partner with leadership to optimize quote-to-launch efficiency, risk tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Provide leadership with clear, data-driven updates on project performance, risks, and resource needs.
