PCB Designer
As a PCB Designer, you will play an integral role in the creation of advanced power electronics systems. This position involves working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to design printed circuit boards (PCBs) for AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC converters and inverters. These designs will be pivotal in supporting various military applications, including radar, RF communications, mission computing, battery charging, onboard power, and autonomous systems. Responsibilities
- Create PCB layouts using industry-standard CAD software.
- Design digital and analog circuits for power electronics applications.
- Use layout tools to position components and define electrical connectivity.
- Prepare fabrication and assembly documentation for suppliers.
- Implement test plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and reliability.
- Revise designs based on customer feedback and engineering specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers to produce drawings and support manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain PCB design guidelines for internal and external use.
- Create detailed specifications for manufacturing processes.
- Work on a variety of board types, including multi-layer, high-power, and standard PCBs.
Essential Skills
- Associate degree in electronics or related technical field, or 5–7 years of experience in the electrical industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PCB layout and design.
- Strong understanding of electronic components and PCB design principles.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as PCAD, Altium, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
- Experience with power topologies, thermal mitigation strategies, and control systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience designing for military or aerospace applications.
- Familiarity with IPC standards and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations in PCB design.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Murphy, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $58.00/hr.
