Product Manager
This position is an integral part of the Cell Culture Cell Therapy Business Unit within the Bioproduction Division. We are seeking an ambitious Product Manager to join our Cell Culture team in the US. The Product Manager will lead global product strategies, drive innovative solutions to customer challenges, lead day-to-day operations for top-line growth and profitability, and provide market leadership in the development of innovative bioproduction products. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, this role is essential in identifying future product requirements and implementing an outstanding customer experience in the evolving field of gene therapies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage programs from concept to commercialization, overseeing the full product lifecycle.
- Be responsible and accountable for the life cycle management of the product portfolio, including setting and achieving annual financial objectives, developing a new product development roadmap, and creating go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new innovations to the market, including creating product roadmaps, positioning, financial plans, and marketing strategies.
- Serve as a product champion with internal collaborators, global marketing, commercial teams, and customers.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with field organizations through training and active participation in the sales process, including customer visits and support.
- Facilitate the Voice of Customer (VOC) to enable data-driven decision-making across the portfolio.
- Develop business cases for investments and present them to peers and leadership.
- Provide product management support in business partnerships and collaborations.
Essential Skills
- Strong background in cell culture and bioproduction.
- Proven experience in product management, product development, and commercialization, with at least 3 years in the field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Products: PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI.
- Self-starter with the ability to build and implement plans with minimal direction.
- Ability to work in a matrix organizational structure.
- Outcome-oriented with a strong desire to measure the success of initiatives.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a similar field is required.
- Master's degree in a scientific field or an MBA is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the bioproduction market and manufacturing quality standards is advantageous.
- Highly detail-oriented, efficient, and organized mentality.
- Experience working directly with customers.
- Competitive market research skills.
Work Environment
The role is within the Cell Culture Cell Therapy Business Unit in the Bioproduction Division. The position involves approximately 10% global travel. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, involving interactions with national and international teams.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
