Product Regulatory Specialist

As a Product Regulatory Specialist, you will work closely with product development, supply chain, project management, marketing, and sales teams to ensure compliance of lubricants marketed on a global basis. Your role will be integral in ensuring our products meet regulatory requirements related to GHS, USMCA, Import/Export regulations, REACH, and other necessary regulatory entities.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve industrial and consumer packaging to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage internal and external product regulatory requests by assigning ownership and updating status.
  • Organize, update, and control SDS documents and records.
  • Validate data related to Proposition 65, SVHC, REACH, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain well-organized records for easy retrieval of required information.
  • Prepare documentation to assist in fulfilling requests associated with USMCA.
  • Complete product and chemical classification for shipping hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Support new product development initiatives.
  • Actively participate in initiatives to improve processes and procedures.
  • Perform other product stewardship functions as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, chemical, or product compliance.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA (HazCom preferred), DOT/49 CFR, IATA, and IMDG.
  • Experience with product registrations and compliance initiatives (e.g., TSCA, Prop 65, PFAS).
  • Familiarity with consumer and industrial product labeling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Training in OSHA (HazCom preferred), DOT/49 CFR, IATA, and IMDG is a plus.
  • Smartsheet experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable in a customer-facing, cross-functional role.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility to start earlier from 7:00 AM–4:00 PM if preferred. This is a hybrid role based at the New Hope, MN facility, with three days onsite (Tuesday–Thursday) and two days remote (Monday and Friday). The position operates in a general office environment, most areas are climate-controlled dry, indoor spaces. The noise level is usually moderate. Employees frequently need to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to handle or touch objects and tools. The role demands decision-making and handling stressful situations and tight deadlines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Hope, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $41.35/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
