Rhino Designer Opportunity

A Chicago-based commercial interior design and manufacturing company, specializing in acoustic solutions, is looking to add a Rhino Designer to their team!

Job Description

• Develop drawings and documentation through the lifecycle of projects from Design to Engineering
• Designers have shared ownership of projects from assignment through install
• Communicate schedule and project needs to the Design Manager (DM) to ensure accurate loading and scheduling
• Follow best practices in digital housekeeping of project files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and organization
• Verify product layout and use, communicating with the various project and process leads to ensure accuracy
• Develop custom design solutions and products for custom and boutique projects in tandem with the DM
• Validate through prototyping all proposed custom solutions and their feasibility for mass manufacture
• Involved in client meetings to discuss feedback and maintain product requirements
• Package the complete product specification for Design, Engineering, and Production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture
• 2+ years of professional experience in a commercial based architecture/design firm
• Design (rendering, layouts, interior design) and construction document experience (specifically reflective ceiling plans)
• Experience working in Rhino professionally; familiarity with Grasshopper and AutoCAD/Revit is a plus
• Digital fabrication experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.37 - $38.46/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
