About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead the design and coordination of electrical systems across a variety of building types, ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation throughout all phases of project delivery. You'll be a trusted contributor, mentor, and client-facing representative, helping shape the future of our electrical design practice.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• 4+ years of electrical design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience creating lighting, power, and systems design packages
• Strong skills in electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, panel scheduling, and distribution system design
• Proven experience attending client meetings, coordinating with consultants, and representing the firm professionally
• Deep understanding of NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and industry standards
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and reviewing their work

Key Responsibilities

• Independently design electrical systems using company standards and project-specific logic
• Perform detailed load and voltage drop calculations
• Coordinate and layout advanced electrical rooms and complex systems
• Conduct ComCheck lighting calculations for code compliance
• Apply NEC and other codes fluently in design and documentation
• Lead coordination and documentation efforts across disciplines
• Attend project meetings and manage client communications
• Review shop drawings and provide redlines and guidance
• Mentor and train Level 1 and 2 engineers
• Support onboarding of junior team members and promote company culture

Day-to-Day Impact

As a Senior Electrical Designer, you'll play a critical role in project success. You'll:

• Lead internal and external coordination
• Ensure quality assurance of technical documentation and drawing sets
• Communicate clearly and consistently with clients and team members

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $60.00/hr.
