Structural Designer

We are seeking a talented Structural Designer to join our dynamic team. This role involves conducting site walkthroughs and fieldwork to assess existing conditions, performing structural analysis and design for a variety of projects including custom single-family residences, structural repairs, building renovations, and new construction. You will prepare detailed structural drawings using AutoCAD, conduct inspections and phase observations during construction, and effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site walkthroughs and fieldwork to assess existing conditions.
• Perform structural analysis and design for custom single-family residences, repairs, renovations, and new construction.
• Prepare structural drawings using AutoCAD.
• Conduct inspections and phase observations during construction.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and contractors.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• 1-4 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in building structural engineering, excluding bridges and tunnels.
• Design experience with structural steel, cold-formed steel, lumber, masonry, aluminum, and concrete foundations.
• Experience with structural analysis and performing site visits.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• EIT certification is preferred.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Proficiency in structural software such as RISA 3D and RAM is advantageous.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr. Company offers, 401k match, 3 weeks PTO, quarter bonuses and 75% medical benefits.

This is a fully onsite position in Brookfield,CT.
