Structural Designer
Prepare detailed structural design of buildings, including residential, commercial, institutional, and heritage projects. Collaborate with the project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion, ensuring quality compliance through meticulous design and checking notes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed structural designs for various building projects such as commercial buildings, multifamily units, single-family homes, retail stores, and tenant improvements.
- Assist with the development of preliminary structural design concepts.
- Work closely with the project team throughout all stages of design to completion.
- Conduct design checks for portions of projects handled by other engineers.
- Ensure quality compliance for your sections of projects by maintaining thorough design and checking notes.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Structural Designer or Engineer.
- Proficient in Revit, RISA 3D, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, and AutoCAD, with expertise in at least three of these software programs.
- Ability to perform structural calculations and design, and to determine layout and sizing of framing members.
- Experience working on vertical projects such as retail, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
- Strong ability to work independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Passed FE/EIT certification.
- Experience in structural analysis and calculations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
