Technical Narrative Designer

Join a leading Game Studio and home of an acclaimed series who is passionate about pushing the limits of interactive storytelling and creating immersive experiences.

What You'll Do:

• Design and implement narrative systems for campaign and multiplayer modes.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and artists to integrate story and gameplay.
• Prototype and polish story-driven features.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Art, Game Design, or related field
• AND 3+ years of experience in game development/design (or equivalent experience)

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of narrative design and integrating story into gameplay
• Experience in game development and design, including systems and content production
• Proficiency with a major game engine (Unreal Engine preferred)
• Solid knowledge of visual scripting (Blueprints in Unreal is a plus)
• Ability to rapidly prototype gameplay features and tools
• Familiarity with interactive storytelling trends and passion for advancing the medium
• Collaborative mindset to work with designers, developers, and artists

Preferred Qualifications:

• Shipped at least one title in a technical design role (narrative, mission, or gameplay design)
• Proficient with major game engines and visual scripting (Unreal/Blueprint preferred)
• Comfortable with rapid prototyping and familiar with interactive storytelling trends

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, BC. This is a fully remote position.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00/hr.
