Tooling Designer
This role is for a Tooling Designer in the Aerospace industry. The company is located in Longueuil. This role is an opportunity to work on multiple different projects at the same time in a dynamic work environment. The company is one the biggest in its industry.
Job Description:
Design tools that meet design standards are safe, functional, and producible, with or without reference.
Analyze customer requests assigned by the group leader to offer the customer appropriate and effective solutions.
Produce a 3D design and a detailed drawing.
Perform design reviews with internal customers.
Support the various projects for engine assembly lines and manufacturing lines.
Participate in problem-solving sessions, project follow-up, and technical brainstorming.
Make technical recommendations, when necessary, to project managers to optimize the design.
Analyze and disposition non-conformities following tool inspection/reinspection.
Participate in tool validation during the tool try-out (as needed).
Provide user training on the use of tooling (as required).
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1+ years of experience
Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar with 3+ years of experience
Experience with CAD Tool (Catia preferably)
Experience with Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
On site presence 5 days per week

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr.
